This Brutally Honest Post About Stay At Home Moms Was "Liked" Over 640,000 Times, But It Deserves More
Ryshell Castleberry, a Florida-based tattoo artist, has recently started to write posts on her Facebook to pay tribute to stay-at-home moms after getting fed up with hearing the annoying question "but what do you do all day?".
The story began with an imagined situation where a husband complained to his psychologist that his "wife does not work". Soon this post exploded and has been "liked" over 640,000 times and shared over 300,000 times so far.
Castleberry wrote in her post, "This is the daily routine of many women all over the world, it starts in the morning and continues until the wee hours of the night... This is called 'doesn't work'?! Being a housewife has no diplomas, but has a key role in family life!"
Although it may seem that this post has gained much influence, that's far from enough. This post needs to reach out to everyone to make more people realize and appreciate the great sacrifices and efforts mothers make for the sake of their family and children.
However, not everybody was happy with her post. There were some working moms criticizing Castleberry because according to them "there's those of us who do all that AND work."
Castleberry later clarified by saying that whether you are a working mom or working dad, should be able to "read the message and replace the words with words that fit situation."
But many people still stand by Castleberry and believes that all moms should be appreciated. Terin Marie commented as one of the moms, "I think being a stay at home mom is a super taxing job for sure, but I know a working mom is very hard too. ... It's ALWAYS tough being a hard working parent, in the home, out of the home, both."
